I am very excited to announce the start of a new program provided by the co-op: Wings!

Wings is a program designed to bring visibility and support to women and other underrepresented genders in the local game industry by providing a private, safe space to discuss the issues they face as a group in the game industry, make connections with their fellow developers, and talk about game development.

We are starting this program to empower and support all of the women and other underrepresented genders of the community, and really want to make it whatever the community desires. In an effort to accomplish these goals, events will be every other month and consist of casual discussion, however, the sky is the limit depending on what the needs of the community are, and what other ideas its members have and are enthusiastic about!

I, Katherine Brennan, will be on the board of the co-op as the Wings coordinator to get the ball rolling and act as a representative for Wings, but all members are encouraged to take initiative to plan and lead events. I am currently working on the first event for June, and will have more details soon!
