VIDEO: STL Game Dev Meetup – Funding Game Development
December 6th, 2014
“It takes money to make money.”
You may have heard it before, and it can be as true in game development as it is in the rest of life. This event, hosted by the St. Louis Game Developer’s Meetup Group, brought together representatives from several local developers that make a living making games, to talk frankly about how they fund their games.
The speakers are:
Michael Orlando from Lumate on Venture Capital
George Lippert from Speedbump Games (Dream Revenant) on Independent with a publisher
Matt Donatelli from Graphite Lab (Hive Jump, My Little Pony) on Work for Hire/Kickstarter
Seth Coster or Sam Coster from Butterscotch Shenanigans (Crashlands) on Indie
Ben Triola from Happy Badgers on Games in between for-pay projects
